Ash Cottage is situated just outside the small village of Smithfield Cumbria.

The Cottage has recently been renovated from a byre (cow shed) and store. It is situated on a small farm. The owners live across from the cottage so can be on hand at all times for help or information.

It is an ideal base for walking or cycling. The market town of Brampton is about 7 miles and the city of Carlisle only 8 miles away. Close by there is fishing, horse riding and golf. Hadrian’s Wall, the Scottish borders, Solway Firth, Lake District, Pennines and Kielder Water are all within an hour’s drive of Kirklinton.
